I attempted to re-install Win 95 and subsequently came upon a problem. Everything installed fine - the PC reset and starting updating etc - it then prompted me for a setup disk and a series of files which did not exist on the Win95 cd - filenames suck as :
Vvoice.vxd
vmodem.vxd
ptsnozp.exe12 files were requested in total - i skipped this section only to find that on startup - Win95 hangs on me every time -
Question - where can i get these files to finish installing Win95?
Please, please help!!!

wINDOWS IS ASKING FOR PROGRAMS THAT ARE BEING IDENTIFIED IN YOUR WIN.INI..YOU HAVE TWO CHOICES..YOU CAN OPEN YOU COMPUTER AND GET THE NAME OF THE MODEM..ETC..OFF OF EACH PIECE OF HARDWARE AND G TO DOWNLOAD.COM OR SOME OTHER SOFTWARE DOWNLOAD AREA...OR YOU CAN FDISK AND REFORMAT YOUR HARDDRIVE AND REINSTALL WINDOWS AGAIN....THERE IS A THIRD CHOICE..GO TO DEVICE MANAGER AND SEE WHAT DES NOT HAVE DRIVERS INSTALLED..AND THE USE THE ADD NEW HARDWARE WIZAED IN THE CONTROL PANEL AND HOPE THOSE WORK...THEY USUALLY DON'T..BUT ITS WORTH A TRY..GOOD LUCK

when it prompts you for those files you don't seem to have, point the dialogue box to your windows directory. If the file isn't there, then point it to the windows system directory. This solves about 80% of my installation problems. The Vvoice looks like part of the modem install, although it may also be voice recognition software.
