The Computer Gods up there in the ether just don't like me this week. Have encountered yet another problem.
Going to Start/shutdown, all that happens is a black screen. To make it SD I have to cont/alt/del. On restart it goes to Safe mode and I then have to track through the display setting to get the monitor setting back to normal. It's a pain.
Could it be due to having installed Sygate an hour ago?
Once again, thank you.

Cursor has got the trembles.Vibates at a very high speed. Anything to give you a clue.
Below, latest hijack. Maybe that might help?
Thank you.

I had the same shut down problem when I installed Sygate. It turned out to be a bad install. To test this Right click on the Sygate icon in your systray.Click on Exit Firewall and then try to shutdown your computer. If it shutsdown then it is a bad install.Remove Sygate and install it again with everything shutdown except explorer and system tray.

Thanks Darksea. I'll consider your suggestion. As you see, have had computer difficulties this week.
Meantime have got everything running again, so fingers crossed.
Wife is not best pleased. Fair enough as problems have sure made me grumpy.
She, kids, and the dog not coming near me. The cat has vanished too. I'll try a shut down later tonight and see what happens.
Thanks again.
