I have a Mitsumi 24x CD rom that is doing strange things. It'll read a normal clear tint CD, but with a blue tint it wont read or is unreliable at it. I have read some CD-r's with it and others, of the same brand, it won't read. It also spins down faster than normal(no, i havent been screwing with the times with software or anything) and it spins down after ~1-2sec(before it finishes reading) or sometimes it'll spin up and not read at all. Any suggestions?? My 2x will read all the CDr's i have flawlessly and it's 4 years old.
Thanks!
Ely Tillery

Ely, you seem to be having more than the normal amount of problems. A large hammer does wonders. Seriously though, if you can't read a cdr or one that someone copied, it could be that the disc itself is no good. You should be able to read any disc, I have the same cdrom and never had a problem with it. I can read any color cd I put in. The spin down is normal, if you're not actually reading it, it spins down fast. And it vibrates.

Sometimes it'll read the CD normally but sometimes it'll just say that there's nothing in there. It can't seem to find anything in CD-rom. Or sometimes, i have the CD with a game or program but it'll show it like it's an audio disk. And i can't do anything. Cleaning doesn't help either.
Thank you.
