: While Initializing device NDIS error
when i booting my machine.AFter restart the machine into safe mode it's working properly
Again restart into normal mode it's working fine. When i power down machine and again switch on the machine same problem occurs.I need a solution. (i Have a motherboard cyrix media gx 233 mhz)I think is there any bugs in the motherboard

NDIS is a generic networking driver that all network cards use. Try updating your network card drivers.

This may happen if you have installed real-mode NDIS 2 or ODI rather than NDIS 3.x for your PCI NIC, or, less probably your NIC might have hardware conflict etc.
The basic reference you should read is the Network.txt under c:\windows coming with the win installation package.
You probably have to go to Device Manager to delete the NIC device driver and re-install with the 32-bit NDIS driver from your installation diskette coming with your card.

This is an interesting problem in that Windows is identifying problems and logging them in your bootlog or crashlog and then allowing you to boot normally once, but not twice. If I had this problem, I'd check out bootlog.txt in C:\, a list of failure codes is found at www.microsoft.com knowlegebase Q119066 which might give you an idea why ndis is failing to load. (It is normal to have ebios and vshare fail) Look at detlog and crashlog too and that might give you some ideas. If you decide to download new copies of the vxd files, a good site is www.surecool.com and I think that ndis might be part of the vmm32 subset of files so you would want to load the new ndis.vxd in the windows\system directory and the windows\system\vmm32 directory.
