I want to put win95 on an old 386 laptop using Win3.11 at present.I know this will be a bit marginal on performance.I've partioned and formatted the C drive from the Win95 boot disk, can you tell me which files I will need to copy from my Win95 desktop to get the laptop working. The laptop only has floppy drive (no cd-rom drive).

You might want to make sure the laptop can handle Windows95 by first using Microsoft's System Check Tool available at http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/Q137/0/47.ASP
Do I understand correctly? You want to copy file by file from your PC to your laptop?
I don't have a laptop, but I think there must be a way to download to one from a PC.
Alternative: If you have the Win95 version that can be transferred to disks, then copy and use the disks to install.
If you want to upgrade win3.11 to Win95 (i.e., not remove your current OS, but install over it), I think you need the disks to upgrade.
