Ok heres the problem.... When I'm playing the following games
-The Sims
-Jagged Alliance 2
-Grand Theft Auto 2About 2-8mins into the game it just goes out of the game right to the desktop.... I mean it doesn't go back to the main menu of that game it just goes right back to the desktop, no error messages come up, I mean these are offical copies of the games. I've tested them on other computers and they run fine.... I've updated my Video Drivers, DriectX.... And nothing....Can you please help me.... I have a Pentium II, 64MB RAM, Voodo Banshee 8/16MB (not sure)....
(Could the problem be my Computer Screen, i mean its really old, its a KTX 600X400 SVGA, which i have set on 800X600, so could that be the problem and how do i fix it)
Thanks... Adam
please reply ASAP!!!!

This is probably a problem with directX or your video drivers. Try using different versions of the drivers for your card, not neccesseraly the latest. I discovered that Tachyon only works on my computer if I have some special purpose drivers for my video card (rage 128) but these drivers cause corruptions in Grand Prix 3...
I would say your best bet is to find a Voodoo tweak site and play around with any drivers you can find.

Possibility 1. Make sure you have Glide 2.5 or later. Search for Glide*DLL on your hard drive and remove any versions other than Glide2X.DLL from your Windows\System directory. Or you can do this from a dos command ie. d:>dir/s glide*.dll and remove all extra glide*.dll
Possibility 2. When your computer's free physical memory gets too low it'll try to free up some space. In doing so the game crash back to your desktop. To avoid these a couple things you can do;
i. Restart computer before playing those games to get all system's resources and free physical memory available.
ii.Make sure there're no other programs running while playing those games. If there's an icon on your taskbar besides clock/volume control right-click on that icon to exit the program.Possiblity 3. There could be a file error. Run Scandisk and defragmenter if your HDD needs it.
Possibility 4. Those games should support Voodoo3s and Voodoo2s. Check the games min system requirements to make sure they all support your Voodoo Banshee as well.
You can try and play Sims in window mode by editing the game's target command line. Change it from \The Sims\Sims.exe" to \The Sims\Sims.exe -w". So the target command line should look something like this:
"D:\The Sims\Sims.exe -w"Hope that'll help ya.

Possibly obvious, but I've done this myself – you're not hitting the Windows key by mistake, are you? In some games this minimizes the window and brings up the desktop.
