What puts things in the start-up group?

Comment:
After an attack of KAK.HTA virus, something keeps putting KAK.HTA in the start-up group whenever I re-boot. I've checked HKLM/Software/Windows/Run dir and nothing is there as well as the autoexec.bat. Anywhere else I can look that you are aware of?
This causes repeated execution when Windows is started.
