I know this is going to sound elementary to someone out there, but here it goes. I have not been able to download update files from some software companies that I subscribe to. I seem to keep getting ‘Script Errors’ when and update starts to run. ‘ I am very novice as you can tell so please hang with me’...So I started looking into my ‘Control Panel’ then to ‘System Properties’ and then to ‘Device Manager tab’ then to ‘Display Adapters’ and noticed that my ‘Rage Pro Turbo AGP 2x’ adapter seems to have some sort of prompt sign that it is not working properly. Is this device hardware or software and does this have anything to do with why I keep getting ‘Script Errors’ that pertain to ‘Direct X’. Please help me sort this out....someone.

That is your Video Graphics Display Adaptor and the drivers pertaining to it.
Yes that could be the cause of the DirectX errors.
‘Rage Pro Turbo AGP 2x’ is from ATI and there should be downloadable drivers and other info from their site:
http://www.ati.com/support/products/pc/ragepro/ragepro.html

Tinkerbong,
I went to the site that you referenced me to and looked around quite extensively. I didn’t find my particular model, I guess I’m to assume that my model is simply too old and probably should just get a new one. Or is it possible to load a similar driver that will work as well. I mean if I load up a different driver for it, how would I know the thing is just gone ‘Kaput’. Oh…and thank you for your Help..it’s greatly appreciated.

You must load the exact driver you need for your model, not something similar. The driver website should be very specific on this.

That video card isn't THAT old. The drivers for it are still on the website.
