I am still trying to resolve my linking problems posted earlier...some of the files might be a problem, and it is suggested I fix them with PView. Great...if I only knew what that was!
and please no click on links that open windows, can't go there, that is my main problem.
Thanks.

It's a Visual C development tool. I am sure it is nothing you want to mess with. Perhaps you would like to restate your problem? I couldn't find it.

Original post.
Yeah, I'm familiar with Pview95 from Micro$oft, it's a C++ programming tool that provides info on running processes (and lets you terminate them, similar to the Windows 'task window')
Can't see how it would be of much help - but maybe same name, different program? What were you told it was supposed to do?Was the advice in your original post of any help? Sounds like the problem could be related to IE6 or one of it's DLLs. Possibly try the 'repair' function in the uninstall menu - I don't know.

Below is the link that Mesich was referring you to:
http://computing.net/windows95/wwwboard/forum/134689.htmlWhen you see one of these links that you are unable to access due to your problem you can always right click on the link and select 'Copy shortcut' and then paste that into your address bar.
Give it a try until you get your problem resolved. The items mentioned in Mesich's link should help.

Thanks for the above tip, it helps. What really puzzles me is that one site's pop up links work fine, and another's won't even open with the above tip.
I was following directions on:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;Q281679,
but had 4 files not register, and got this message:
(File) was loaded but the DllRegisterServer entry point was not found.
DllRegisterServer may not be exported, or a corrupt version of (file name) may be in memory.Consider using PView to detect and remove it.
The files that failed are:
Msjava.dll, Actxprxy.dll,
Oleaut32.dll, Shell32.dll
I read the link above, and your fix may be beyond me...and no wonder some of the files are for XP, people kept telling me to reinstall IE 6.
I did print off the suggested cure...do you still think that will solve the problem?
Thanks again, so glad someone has a clue! :)

We have EXACTLY the same problem. Pulling my hair out. Haven't found a solution yet. Feel like whiping the hard drive and starting all over...too painfull.
I have discovered that, when the link doesn't load, you can hit the Stop button on the Browser, then hit refresh and the page will load. Hope that helps. If you do find a solution, please share it since it's still driving me crazy.

It is fixed!!!
Hey, jerseygirl, I know how you feel, this has been driving me crazy!
You might want to refer to my first post about the problem, message find #135663;
Mesich explained how to rename the oleaut file. In desperation, I tried it, needing a little support in daring to go to DOS, and things didn't work quite right, lol. I renamed it and couldn't paste it back into windows, cuz that was already there. So I tried renaming again in DOS, and basically, I think, I removed the file all together...and I don't recommend it! Very luckily for me I went to file checker and by pure luck that file was in my back up file, so now all systems are go. And I checked, and it is an earlier version of oleaut.dll, not the same number Mesich mentioned for the version he sent his dad, but close.
So even though the info I got here didn't work quite as intended, it did lead to the solution, that and some good luck.
Hope you find your solution, too, jerseygirl and others.
