I already know one definition: That hacking means unauthorized access and it is illegal. But what's the other definition. What is legal hacking??

You might take a small knife or ax and hack at some branches in your back yard. If you are fighting the undead, you might be hacking at limbs. If you have emphysema, it is what you do after you cough.

Hacking is illegal if it directly or indirectly hurt some-one. By defination 'Hacking' is done just for fun and there is no ulterior motive or bad approach/intention is involved. Where-as 'Cracking' is definitly illegal and in this a direct benefit ($$$$$) is always involved say accessing to other bank accounts through computers, accessing to passwords/codes or getting the cell phone codes/#s, other credit cards #/info/access or identity theft etc etc.
