Websites won't let me out

Can anyone tell me why some websites will not let you out. I click back and back and back and it still will not let me out. Is there a way to block this or any way to get out without losing where i was previously. The location bar in Netscape does not log everywhere i have been and i dont know why, so this is particularly aggravating. Thanks.

Well some links you click lead to webpages that redirect you to another site immediately. So when you click back it just takes you to the redirection page which then takes you to the page you are trying to get out of, its very annoying indead. Sometimes if you click back twice fast enough you can get out the cycle. I know in IE the back button has a pull down menu showing the last several webpages visited and this will allow you to get past the redirection page as well, I don't know about netscape.

Hold the Back (or Forward) button(s) down till you see a list of sites you've visited. Just skip to one or more sites to get away from those sites that redirect.

You can right click the back button to get a list of your last visited pages with the most recent being at the top. Simply click from there to go directly back to that page.

You can disable java script but this will affect loading of some web pages. When you click "go" in Netscape, you get a drop-down box with all the pages previously loaded. Pages with no entry or just a dot are redirects. Then click on the page you want to return to. Hope that helps.

the best way to follow links is to 'right click' and select 'open in a new window'.
your refering page is then always available. HTH
