Hi there

I designed a website for the folks about 3 years ago and went to update a few things last week and on my computer there is no "Background" coulor on the site anymore, yet when i use my brothers computer there is a background coulor and asked a friend to look at it and check and on her computer there isnt coulor either...any ideas would be a great help...was thinking maybe Java is the cause on my computer.

Thanks in advance

Chris

No it wouldn't be java because color is a html command ie bgcolor = blue with less than greater than quotes in html.

Try this if you have explorer goto Tools, Internet Options, Colors, and Use Windows Colors.

If the above doesnt work,
It's possible its a browser incompatability. Which version do you have (netscape, explorer, opera, mozilla???) Also is this background color thing only limited to this webpage or is it apply to every webpage you visit?

Alrights goto explorer,
1)hit alt t
2)goto internet options
3)colors
4)check Use windows colors
5)check OK
6)hit accesibility (across from colors)
7)make sure nothing is checked, if so uncheck
8)click ok ok yadda yadda restart your browser and its fixed. Now I'm gonna have to buy me some sandals :]

I am using IE6sp1 and see the green pattern just fine. It looks good.

I did not like the popup in addtion to the additional webpage opening to Dell. Is that intentional or is it an attached redirect hijacking of your site?

The popup itself is Ok.

Website looks fine from my end. And no popup. Got a beep from my popup filter. Guess that was why I got no popup. But all looks fine and in order. I am using IE5.5.

These 2 from JB's post...
6)hit accesibility (across from colors)
7)make sure nothing is checked, if so uncheck

If this doesnt solve your problem then my guess is that IE is damaged.

Your seeing a white background.. This is because the background image is not being rendered. If you go to tools/internet options/accessibility.. Uncheck anything that is checked. Specifically.. "ignore colors specified on webpages".. The bg image should show back up.
