webcamera & netmeeting problems

I got a webcamera yesterday (mustek LCD3). I installed the driver, but the computer did not recognise the camera as a camera. I opened netmeeting and could see a picture but get no sound (the sound worked before).
I reinstalled everything again and now netmeeting does not recognise the video at all and the computer still doesn't recognise the camera.
HELP!!!!!

if camera is a usb cam, you must install software first, then plug cam into port.

you didn't give all the details
