Web TV for Windows

I'm trying to use Microsoft Web TV for Windows. Windows 98SE claims my I.B.M. PC300PL has a tv tuner (where?) and Web TV seems to work, but it does not have an option to scan for channels. How do I get it to scan for channels?

Does the "get tv listings" site still exist? I can't get to it, but my internet connection has been doing a lot of that lately. (I'll try again later)

If the PC300PL doesn't have a tv tuner, why does it show up in the device manager?

That model didn't come from IBM with a TV tuner card but you might have one that was added in by someone.

Look on the back of the tower down in the add in card area for a card with a coaxial connector on it. That is the type of connector that is on VCRs and DVD players that connect to TVs.

To get a better idea of what you do have I suggest you download SIW.exe and run it.

Get it at the link below.

If you have a TV Tuner card you will need software to use it properly.
