is there a way to print the contents of a document folder? it seems it should be a simple thing but i am beginning to think it is impossible

Can you explain 'Document folder' please.
If you want to print the contents of a folder there are many programs that will do that. Do a search for 'Print folder' or 'Print Directory'. I use 'Folder Print'.

a document folder..for instance all of my downloaded songs go into the "kazaa download" folders and i would like to be able to print the contents of this folder as there are a good 1500 files in it...

Hi print, hi bill, hi Kevin, hi all,
You can print a folder from Dos.
Start/Run/type command and click on OK
- go to your folder entering CD \(foldername)
- then create a file by DIR >file.txt
(you can get an ordered list with some switches eg DIR /OGNE >file.txt)
- EXIT to close the Dos window
- open file.txt in Notepad
- improve the list...
- print it as usual (from Notepad)If you needed to do so often, I can give you more detail and even a batch file + a PIF file + a REG file allowing to get the 'Print Folder' option in the right-click menu of any folder in Windows Explorer.
Have a nice evening,
Gérard from Paris, France

There is a program called: treeprint.exe which will do exactly as you want. It is a free download and you can find it by using any reputible search engine. I was going to pop it in the mail to you but you left no email address so if you want it I guess a search engine will have to do. Sorry.
