Does any one know of any software that can correct the file timestamp of saved email attachments to the time the mail was posted, not when it is downloaded. I use Eudora and sometimes save the attachments weeks later.

Ham30: The program you suggested is a common type that does essentially one file at a time.
I want a semi-auto or automatic file date changer that can read the mail and change the date/time of the attachments and embedded files. I think I can get the dates and files from the mail files. So a program that can use a list is OK. Also if it do it as a command line would be ok if it does long file names and paths. The old programs I have like Norton's DT (DateTime) don't do the long file names. The other problem is extracting the date correctly since depending upon the systems reading, writing, and storing the mail, the date/time is in different formats and time zones.

I've never seen anything like you describe in your 2nd posting with all the details added.

Maybe you could write a batch file? No suggestions otherwise.

Ham30: I have tried the Attribute-Magic Free.
Sekirt: If I can find a command line program. I could write a batch if I solve the date problem. Does anyone know how many date formats mail can use?
