I assume when you surf a website or join something they place cookies in you computer. What else. And how do you get rid of it if you want? I know how to rid cookies, temps, but is there anything else? Thanks

Generally, no, unless you allow it to (eg.: Installing Macromedia Flash player places ActiveX controls into
c:\windows\downloaded program files)

Not ALL websites place cookies on your computer. The only other thing I can think of is the browser storing it in it's history list, but that really has nothing to do with what the website placed on your computer.
