Hi,
I never have like My Documents. I'd like to move it to D: where I keep my data for backup.
I've played with the registry but it always goes to the root folder on C: no matter what I do.
Anyone have a procedure to move My Documents to a sub-folder on D:?
Thanks,
Lou

To change the default file store location:
Right-click the My Documents icon on the desktop, and then click Properties.
In the Target box, type the path to the appropriate folder, and then click OK (for example, D:\Documents\My Stuff). If the folder does not exist, the Create Folder dialog box is displayed. If necessary, click Yes to create the folder.
In the Move Documents dialog box, click Yes to move your documents to the new location, or click No to leave your documents in the original location.

Right click My Doc to properties then change
the C:\ to D:\My Documents.
Then open windows explorer COPY all your
saved files to the new My doc's that was
automatically created when you changed dive to D:\
After you copy them DELETE the old folder
in C:\My Documents
I have done this a hunderd times this way.dac

You do NOT won't to put My doc's in SUB-Folder make it D:\My Documents only
Why hide it this way easy find and access.
Everything you save in My Doc's will be saved on D:\ just in case you loose C:\OS
and need to reformat, My Doc's will always
be there. (Be on the safe side)
