I just got a used laptop, it's an HP Pavilion 550MHz, running W98. Right when it starts up, at the Win DeskTop it will display a message that is, Cannot find load.exe ( or one of it's components)make sure the path and filename are correct and that all required libaries are available). I'm thinking this is the leftovers of a virus, could it be/, and how do I get rid of it? URL's or words as to how to fix it please. Thanks Q.
