Comment:

Can anyone recommend a good disk clean up utility that will work on W95, to help regain some more space?
I have lots of old files/programs left over from things like Netware etc, from the days when it was a company computer on a network.

Thanks
Dennis

If these programs don't have an uninstall utility for them, you ~could~ just delete all the directories etc, then do searches in the registry for the "main" names of the various programs and delete the entries, but you'd still be left with many useless files (.dll's etc.) and referenced registry entries on your system. In this case you'd probably be better off saving anything you want and then doing a format and a reinstall of 95 on a clean drive. Cleaners can only do so much.

If you can properly uninstall any of these (Control Panel/Add-Remove Programs) then try that first. If you end up having to ditch folders and/or files then copy them elsewhwere first and don't delete them finally until you have rebooted and are sure that the system doesn't start asking for them. A registry cleaner might help.
