my wintask.exe file (in c:\windows\system) and dc49.exe file (in c:\recycled\dc49.exe) were infected with the w32 worm so I deleted them. Do you know where I can find a copy of both of the aforementioned files? Thanks!

btw .. what's the Recycled folder (in C:\ for?)

First, W32 was not the name of the worm. The name DID start with W32 but it was a lot more.

Wintask is the Navidad virus program and the one from the recycle bin could have been Sircam.
You do not want to replace them.

Make sure your virus definitions are uptodate and do another full virus scan.

When you delete things they go to the recycle bin and can be recovered from there if required.
BUT, you should be emptying the bin on a regular basis.
