first off make sure you have all the right vxd's installed. you need configmg.vxd, ntkern.vxd, vcomm.vxd, vdd.vxd, vmouse.vxd, vdmad.vxd, and vflatd.vxd. make sure that these are in C:\Windows\Systems, if not they are in CAB 53 and 54
vmm is a bit of a sticky issue! check out THIS URL,br>for MORE insight!

Go to System Registry - search fot the particular vxd and delete it. Restart and it'll fine. (Make sure you back up - just in ase)

cheers keep getting fatal exception OD I have know taken the computer back to the shop they have tested all the ram with (pc check) and other components and found NO errors at all they told me 1. it could be the printer driver or bad cable reboot the machine with out the printer attached-Epson stylus color 600- 2. then if still happening disconnect mouse 3. then if still happening more than likely keyboard fault... but the thing is I have taken printer right off system, so far fingers crossed its stopped but now I have got ***......exception OD has occurred at 0028:ff266608 in VXD---,this was called from 0028:C008FD78 in VXD vkd (01)=00000IDO.............****this happend while i was in internet explorer 5.5 i have looked everywere in the microsoft knowledge base but to no avail could you if you can find out what this is and how to repair it CHEERS >>>TERRY.................
