VxD Problem

Comment:
If I reboot the system WITHOUT a CD in the CD-ROM drive, I get a blue screen with the following message: "An exception OE has occurred at 0028:C169DE09 n VxD SCSIPORT(01) + 000007D9. This was called from 028:C182F404 in VxD scsi1hlp(03) + 00000774. It may be possible to continue normally". When I try to continue by pressing a key I get a black screen with the cursor. Then I reboot. The system reboots in the SAFE mode. To get back to the NORMAL mode I must insert a CD into the CD-ROM drive and reboot. I've seen evidence suggesting that the problem may be the Nero software I'm using with my Yamaha CRW-F1 CD-RW Drive, but I've not seen any instructions to remedy the problem. The System Properties dialog information indicates that the Yamaha is operating properly.

What CD are you booting with? Have you tried un-installing the Nero s/ware?
