Are you sure that is the "exact" error message (no typo's, extra spaces or whatever).

Did you just remove files or was it a proper uninstall?

Often stuff gets left in the registry or (less likely) in system.ini

You can always type system.ini in the Run box and look for bcfilt 95.vxd but that space before 95 looks very odd. If you are still getting the error maybe you could check it out again. If it's not "exactly" right you will never find it in Google nor can we pursue it much further.

Other possible ways forward are:

1. If it was recent then shut down to MS-DOS and type scanreg /restore then pick a date just before you put in jetico. This is easy to do and might be the best thing to try first.

2. Run a registry cleaner such as EasyCleaner.

3. Re-install jetico, reboot, uninstall it again, reboot. There's a chance that it will come out properly next time.

Not sure why you elected to re-install Windows over the top (if that's what you mean) but if so you shouldn't loose your own stuff.

It seems an extreme approach but too late now I guess. There might have been simpler ideas (assuming you tried 2 & 3 in my post).

Seems I didn't understand you properly.

This problem is usually that the file is still being referenced in the registry although it is missing.

You might be able to find it from a registry search (regedit) but EasyCleaner is safer. It will show a stack of entries if you've never run it before (pages of them). I've never had any problem letting it delete them all. There is an undo provided but it's most unlikely you will need it.

PLEASE NOTE about EasyCleaner

Only run "Clean Registry".

The other features such as "Duplicate Files" & "Unnecessary Files" are a bit dubious. If you've already used these then restore the files from the bin.

That's fine. If you decide to get shot of jetico it might uninstall properly this time, otherwise EasyCleaner should find the remnants (plus a whole lot more).
