I got a new dig. camera and tried to load the pictures on to the PC through the usb. The pictures would not download (have since tried on a friends new pc - everything ok). I went into device manager and a PCI ?????? was not working so I got that working - but noticed no usb driver. So I went into the BIOS and enabled the usb.

Now it wont boot up. it directs me to boot up in Safe mode but straight after the windows 98 screen it goes blank with the message that the following files are missing. vmm.vd shell.vxd vtd.vxd vxdldr.vxd vpicd.vxd or vwin32.vxd
then hit any key to continue and it switches off.

I went back into the bios and changed usb back but I still get the above problem everytime i boot up. I've even tried reinstalling 98 but it wont let me do that as i need the "windows 98 upgrade" cd rom.

Please help.
