I have recently bought the voodoo5 5500 for my pc, (AMD K6-2 500 mhz 256 mb RAM Sound Blaster 3D sound card) when i first installed it seemed everything was fine, but then i started recieving vxd error after error, (VXD VMM (01) + 00004338)i am not sure what could be causeing this but it is quite tiring haveing to restart my computer everytime i start it....if anyone can help please e-mail me or respond to this message...help me determine what is causeing the conflict and the vxd errors.I have recently installed a vxd fix patch that seemed to help a little for bit but then i started recieving the errors again.

------Vmouse.vxd------- I was getting the "cannot load vmouse.vxd" problem and had some issues in using my Logitech mouse for that reason. Here is my solution and I hope it can help some of you: *copy the vmouse.vxd file to win system and vmm folders ** the final hit--->must do----> change the the mouse static vxd to vmouse.vxd under regedit.exe
*** keep your fingers crossed and reboot
Good luck

Your vxd error is due to processor instability caused by overheating and/or a cpu core voltage that may need to be bumped up to 2.3 or 2.4v if it is not already there.
The software cooler RAIN works wonders for many on this one -- a very common problem with AMD's like yours
