As I am installing win98 I get the error "Invalid VxD dynamic link call to to device number 3 service, service B. Your Windows config is invalid. Please run the windows setup program again to correct the problem" and my pc shuts up. I did and I get the same error. What does this mean and how do I fix this? My pc has asus A7Vpro, T-Bird cpu 900 MHz. at 100Mhz. Ram 133 Mhz (asyncrhonus) Thank you.

I don't know what the answer is and a quick look didn't come up with an answer. However, here's some good links that could get you started on finding out the problem. Maybe in the meanwhile, someone will step in that has experience with the problem you reported.

Bad ram? If you have more than one stick try one or the other.

You can also install a software ram tester to a clean floppy and boot with it:
