I installed dsl and lost these files: vnetsup.vxd vredir.vxd dfs.vxd msnp32.dll I can't seem to find any information on these files other than they are virtual drivers and the other one is part of the dynamic library... I've downloaded them again from another site, but they disappear in my computer and I can't get the system.ini to read them again!! Help! LOL!

try removing your NIC and/or modem in device manager and than re-install the hardware

Use the 'Find' tool to find where the files got downloaded to, then copy them to your C:\windows\system folder. Reboot. If they did in fact 'disappear' then they can be extracted from your windows CD, using System File Checker's "Extract one file" applet. To open up SFC, Start/run type in SFC hit enter.

Go into your Networking properties. Remove the Client for Microsoft Networks, reboot, and then reinstall the Client. That should take care of it.

Hi Connie and All, I have seen this several times. Seems removing the Client For Microsoft Network has worked as Jennifer stated. I have also had to remove and re-install the Dial-Up Network. HTH Good Day! Mesich
