I have a Pentuim 233mmx with 64m EDO memory. When I reomve the EDO and install a 64m SDRAM, Windows 95 won't boot and I get a missing or corrupt VMM32.VXD. Do I need to reinstall Win95?

The answer is most likely yes, I'm afraid.
Try reinstalling the PIIx4 patch from safe mode first, though. Copy the file to a floppy as you will not be able to access your CD from safe mode.

If you have a Umax scanner, Check out their site. Their scanner driver caused that problem on a friend's computer.

I had the same problem because I had a Umax scanner hooked up. I unhooked the scanner Went to run typed Msconfig. then go to the system.ini tab. open the folder{386 Enh} Then uncheck the first file that has the word Umax in it. That should fix it. I don't know if you can still use the scanner with this disabled.
