I got the same exact error after installing usbsupp.exe. to try to update usb support for WIn 95 OSR2. Don't have a UMAX scanner. Reloading windows solved it & I guess I'll skip that file unless anyone knows a fix. Thanks.

Oh, heck. It was my mistake. I needed to uninstall the driver for my AGP video card before installing usb update, then it worked fine.

I cant believe all you cunts you fucking nerd Americans - news groups and all that shite. I did Tech support for IBM and I know exactly how illiterate you fat fucks are.
You cunts dont know jack about computers,
to fix that error is go to a working machine copy the VMM32.vxd file from the system directory.
Go to the non working machine and hit F8 when you see starting win 95/98 and go to command prompt.
go to the A: and type copy vmm32.vxd C:\windows\system
then reboot
Now fuck off you nation off twat with your fucking Umax scanner

Send this to Monty, you Austin Powers-looking puke!

First off, don't listen to whatever that moron from IBM Tech Support is tell you. He is so full of himself. He is just trying to boost his ego by pretending he his technical skilled while in reality he doesn't even know what he's talking about. Every REAL technicians knows that found in Windows 9x machines, VMM32.vxd is the virtual device driver library that contains virtual device driver files needed for system statup. VMM32.vxd is DIFFERENT for every machine; therefore, if it gets corrupted, it CANNOT be copied from another computer, it'll need to be rebuilt.

Visit the following website for REAL technical support by QUALIFIED technicians (unlike our bad-mouth friend above)
