Comment:

I need to make a visual basic ftp program but I cannot get the winsock
control working.

I have just got visual basic 6 learning edition. I try to add the button
onto the bar on the left but it says...
"License information for this component not found. You do not have an
appropriate license to use this functionality in the design environment.
License information for this component not found. You do not have an
appropriate license to use this functionality in the design environment
(Error 429)

You are not a licensed user of the ActiveX control. This error has the
following cause and solution:

You tried to place an ActiveX control on a form at design time or tried to
add a form to a project with an ActiveX control on it, but the associated
information in the registry could not be found. The information in the
registry may have been deleted or become corrupted. Reinstall the ActiveX
control or contact the control vendor."

What can I do? I've reinstalled VB but it still says the same thing.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Thanks,

Stephan.
