Ok, I bought a Visioneer 5300 One Touch flat bed scanner, and have reciently upgraded comps. Now, I'm seeming to have trouble getting it to work w/ WIN XP. Think I might need knew drivers?? Please help.
According to the Visioneer web site, the 5300 USB will work on XP with the latest driver available for that model. The 5300 drivers for the parallel port model will not work with XP, and Visioneer does not plan on developing an XP driver.

Good luck, John. I have a visioneer paperport one touch scanner, and a couple months after buying it it started having connection problems. Then, it'd go for about a month or two of not being able to connect. Then, as if by magic, it would resume working again for another month or two. It would keep going on and off like that.
Then, one day, the scanner head caught and made popping noises as it tried to move, and I worried that it would break. It didn't work for a while, and I could never get it to work again on my computer. However, I then installed it to my family's newer computer, and so far it has worked fine.
If you ever get a chance to get rid of that scanner and get a new one, I'd suggest you do it. I've had nothing but trouble with my Visioneer One Touch.
Also, there are updates on the Visioneer website for their scanners. Have you tried seeing if they have a download for your type of scanner? I once downloaded an update for my scanner, and it fixed my problem for a while, but then it started acting up again. Maybe you'll have more luck.

I have both a Visioneer 5300 and an 8600. Haven't ever had aproblem with either of them and my next one will probably be a Visioneer One Touch, too.Apparently Shane didn't read either your post or my response.

Could you please help me locate a Vissioneer One Touch Serial 5300 driver or an update. I currently have version 5.3. This version does not work properly with Win 2000 Pro.

I recently purchased a new computer came with WindowXP. I have Visioneer 8600 USB port scanner, my one touch keys do not function properly, every time I press scan key the scan documents goes to printer instead to paperport software. I tried to reconfigure one touch key with no luck so far. Could any one tell me how can I correct my problem, Oh! I did downloaded the 8600 patch from visioneer site, it does not help.
