I have the "W32.Benjamin.Worm" virus on my system. It is currently in my virus history. For some reason I can not clean, quarantine, or delete it. It always say "Failed" whenever I try to do anything to it. There are 23 counts of the worm. The filename for it is "explorer.scr". I also have a "Backdoor.SubSeven" virus and it does the same thing. The filename for that one is "setup.exe". If anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance.
Hi, What virus software do you use ? Have you updated it recently ? The W32.Benjamin makes a registry setting, delete this and the file, and you're half way home. Regards, Rob.

As long as you are deleting these immediately without opening them. You probably have not been infected. For the unwary, these are a method of infecting your system. Curiosity is not a good thing! If you have opened one. You should run a scan with your antivirus software. If not go to Symantec and Trend Micro Sites and use their free scans. If your antivirus program is updated and you scan all incoming attachments, or delete them without opening them you should be fine. Most virus attacks are from friends who were infected. The virus then sends itself to everyone in their address book. You should also disable your preview pane because of this. All the best!
