Hi I am wanting to get some virus software for my machine, as I am having some problems caused by my (very old) version of McAfee. Can someone recommend something, as it is ages since I did this. I am willing to pay for the software, obviously, but would rather not pay for updates... Thanks

It looks to see if the question has been asked before and I am certain it would have revealed the following: AVG by Grisoft Make sure you do a proper uninstall of McAfee before adding AVG. I have been using McAfee since version 4 and the only problem I ever had was with their (alledged) feature "Safe&Sound" which is no feature at all. If this is related to your problem then the uninstall may be more difficult than you might expect. If this is the case then search this forum board for the solution or post back and someone else will probably search for you. Bryan

Download The personalEdition from the English Language section. Remove all aother Antivirus Programs, which are installed on your computer. Also download the additionals commandlinescanner, the latest .vdf-file and the users guide. Ewald.
