Two network workstations that have had Win98 infections that have been cleaned with Norton's Antivirus now have Logon problems. Here is the description: Computer boots as normal (no logon screen). Mapped drives that are tried to access give an error "not logged on". If you logoff the computer (don't restart) and relog right back on, then everything works fine. I've tried everything I know of and cannot get the logon screen to appear on bootup.

If a virus is found on a workstation at our place the pc is low-level formatted (the works) and a complete reinstall is applied. Needless to say it is a pain. But maybe it is the right course of action.

I think I would remove all the Network settings, reboot and add them back.
