Not a windows problem but.....anyway I got an e-mail saying a probably had a virus. they said to scan c drive for jdbgmgr and delete it. I have it but Nortons av misses it. Is it a virus or something windows needs? Its in windows\windows\system. Should I delete?? Thanks in advance

The file has something to do with the Java system. It's on every Win98 PC.
The moral of the story is, don't do ANYTHING based upon something that an email tells you to do. An email can be sent by any moron in the world with a computer. So always verify anything that you receive.
I always check at the http://securityresponse/symantec/com page that George mentioned. (I believe George's link has a typo. Probably is securityresponse rather than securityresponce)
I always send the site with the hoax to the person that sent me the email. A hoax can be as damaging as a virus if people keep sending it and others just delete the files, no questions asked. The only way the person who sent it to you will learn to research first before sending is giving them the knowledge to do so. That's my 2 cents....
