Comment: I want to format my c drive, but I have some virus before and they and block off with my virus program, but if i format mt drive will that kill all the virus or will I still have them when i install my new windows xp? please help

Reply: (edit)Formatting your hard drive will get rid of your virus problems, however,it will also get rid of everything else on your hd. Are you sure you've tried everything else to rid yourself of the virus? If you have and feel that you want to format the hard drive, make sure you back up all your important files and information before doing so, as it would be difficult, if not impossible to go back. Reply: (edit) yes formatting your hard drive will get rid of your virus as statted above. sometimes copying or backing up your file would take your virus and put in on your new formatted hd then yoiu will be back at the same spot you were at
