Halo everyone!
I am new to this and so I need some help about choosing and doing! I had just recorded my son's birthday using a video camera and I am thinking of putting it into a cd!
I know that I need a card called Video Capture Card right and is there any software accompanied with the card for me to convert my video camera data into the computer data to be played on VCD players in the form of cd?

The card should come with all you need. You will need the various leads to connect the camera to the card.
Instructions on this would be in the Camera Manual or maybe the video capture card manual.
It's fairly straight forward, if you need additional software to create the VCD, there are many encoders out there that will encode the video in a format suitable for VCD.
