verifying dmi pool is the last thing the BIOS startup software does before it hands control over to the operating system on either a diskette drive or hard drive.
Usually, this problem occurs when your hard drive settings are incorrect, you have a loose cable, or the drive has failed. Start by looking in your BIOS. Check the hard drive settings, try AUTO if you have that, if that doesn't work, remove your cover and check the drive's cables.
