I am trying to locate an unusual modem. It is the usr-0637. It is an OEM modem made soley for PC manufactorers. It was made by 3COM also I think. Same model number. If you have this modem and you are not using it and want to get rid of it, Please contact me. Thank you, wecavalier@bellsouth.net

I believe I have the modem you want. I just purchased it off ubid.com. Having problems installing it due to IRQ and I/O conflicts.
It's a US Robotics 56K V90 Data/Fax Modem, product #0637.
What is so unusual about this modem?

Aloha, I have the 3Com 0637 (Rockwell chipset) in my kamikaze spares box. Once I downloaded the driver for it and thought it wasn't working I discovered a tip on the Internet that applies to all PCI modems: go to Control Panel\System\Device Manager\System Devices\PCI Bus and check the box for enumerate with bios (vice hardware) and the path to hardware recognition is established! The modem AND Comm port is recognized by Windows.

I have a USR oem model 0637, if that is what you are looking for. Don't have a driver for it.
