Not as daft as it sounds, but, I'd like to be able to run a PC (which people connect to remotely) without a keyboard or mouse attached. Keyboard is easy as there is an option in PC set-up utility. However, when starting PC without a mouse, I get an 8603 Pointing Device Error - PC can continue loading and works but this message appears every time a mouse has been re-attached and taken off. I don't want stop ability to add a mouse now and again as software tweaks are sometimes needed. Any help would be appreciated !

Windows98 has a program built-in called Accessability Tools.Enabling the Mouse Keys feature lets you use the pointer without the mouse easily. You control it with the numeric keypad, and other various keys.I also don't use a mouse now (pins all bentup on connector)so i use the keyboard as a mouse.I get the same message at startup, but it works fine after.
