Using paint brush to clean Mobo?

I've been trying to get the dust off of a motherboard, sound card. Using compress air does not do the job completely. Can I use a paint brush to clean these hardware components without destroying them?. I am afraid a paint brush could have static electricity and may cause some damage.

You could use a paint brush, but remember that it has to be one that does not produce static. I think paint brushes made of horse hair are static free. Not completely sure, but you might check into it.

An artist's brush made of natural bristle like horse or hogshair will be fine, and a vacuum cleaner hose will save your sinuses from the worst of the damage the dust can do to you.

you don't have to be that afraid, static el. will normally only be of danger for OPEN circuits, that meens, that if your board and and cards are connected they should be secure best with the power on.
