Hi, I just got this software and sure enough there isn't anything in the mannual that covers this. I want to transfer a video tape to cd. How can I do this to maintain the best quality? Everytime I try, the software stops when it reaches the 2 gig mark for windows. I heard that you can cut the file into segments and videowave can combine them again but I don't know how to do it. Any help would be appreciated. I use a WINTV to go pci video card.

I realize that this doesn't answer your question, but doing some digging shows that there is a 2gb limitation on AVI files. Some programs can get around it, but others can not.
I do not do video editing, so I can not confirm this nor do I really have a solution.
