Help--my kid bought and IPod mini. Is there a way to use this Ipod and the Ipod software with Windows 98. I own two computers that sit in my basement. I really do not want to spend the cash to buy two new operating systems (XP or 2000) to use with this Ipod. I have read a few things on Google about making this work with Windows 98 but have yet to find a good procedure for making this work. Can you help? Thanks

ipods use itunes for sycronizing the ipod. i went trough the same problem so i used my dad's xp laptop. anyway, you cannot syncronise the ipod if you dont have itunes. you can download itunes from the apple website, BUT it wont work because itunes is NOT competible with windows me, win98se win98, or windows 95 and anything lower.
