user password

a person in the office created a user and a password on his computer. I need to take this off. everytime I turn on the computer it asks for this guys password. does anybody know how i can remove this user

It is a windows password. when you boot up it asks for the username, and the password.

Howdy again!

It sounds like you could not get to the "Control Panels" because you have to enter a password when Win first starts. Is this correct?

Yep, I followed the link above, when it restarted, this guys log on came up again. when i go into passwords in the control panel, it just asks if I want the same settings if multiple users are using the computer

In response to Response 6 it sounds like you need to see the HowTos mentioned in Response 2. I was not real clear about the details of your problem. I'm glad things worked out.

cant you just go into win.ini, scroll down to the passwords and delete them???
