Comment: my hp win 98 comp is messed up and I lost my recovery disks for it..i have another computer thats also a hp, but windows XP-i have the recoverery disks for the XP comp, can i use the recovery disks from the XP for the windows 98 computer?

Reply: (edit)Hey stevesico what good is a bootdisk going to do?She/he said they lost the recoverydisk.I took that as no Windows 98 disk either.You need a 98 CD to use a bootdisk.But if your cd rom is set in the biso to boot to a CD then no bootdisk is needed.Hey bena e-mail me and i will be more than happy to set you up with a Windows 98 or a Windows ME disk at little cost.
