I'm hoping someone out there with some computer knowledge knows about Presarios. Anyway, I need to find out if the USB ports on my Presario 5152 Desktop are directly connected to the motherboard or connected to an expansion pak. The reason I ask is because I recently subscribed to DSL and my computer won't recognize the new modem. The modem is connected to one of the USB ports located at the front of the computer (there are none at the back). Can anyone help me out? Thanks

I have had my run-ins of working with Compaqs. I can safely say the USB's are connected to the motherboard.
Now with the DSL modems? I have also had my share of run-ins there. 9 out of 10 cases it is the driver. Even though you may of got one with it, you usually need to get the correct one for your operating system off the provider website. Hope this helps you.
