usb port not working

Hi! I currently have win95. I bought a scanner only compatiable w/ 98 or above. When I try to install it my puter keeps saying"No Hardware found" When I called the store the tech told me win95 does not work with usb ports at all, yet my intel camera is hooked up through 1 and works fine. So do ya think the problem is simple or will buying win98 or above the answer? Thanx guys! :)

OSR2 (95) does have limited USB support, however it's more than likely the cause of the problem.

Win95 A and B does not support USB. Like Ellis said OSR2 is supposed to support it but don't count on it. Win98 supports it very well.
