Comment:

When I installed my flash drive for the first time I downloaded the 98 driver from the Kingston website for the flash drive.
After installing the driver I thought that the folder would appear but it doesn’t. I restarted the computer and even tried reinstalling the driver.

Any thoughts?

Have you indeed verified that the port is recognized and active? Does it show in Device Manager?

If you installed the driver, this does not always create a 'folder'. The drivers are probably in C:Windows/System. Does the Win 98 recognize the USB port and you see the flash drive in My Computer when plugged in?
Which Flash Drive?
Win98 or SE?

your operatinng system must be 98se or higher. If so then reinstall the os after formatting ur hdd.Check whether uhcd.sys and
usbhub.sys are installed in windows\sytem32\drivers.
Then install requisit driver for ur device,it will automatically asked for the same when the usb drive is plugged in.
Wish u Good Luck --------Dilip
