Hi, I need the USB Mass Storage support driver so Windows 98 can recognize my Mp3 player as a Removeable disk so I can upload songs to it. I dont have the windows 98 CD, because my computer comany just copied the setup files on to my hard drive so I cant get it from the Add-ons.

Hopefully you can just point to the folder where the setup files are located, when it asks for the CD.

Your mp3 player manufacturer may have drivers.

I mean that apparently the USB Mass storage support is at E:\Addons from my understanding of what I have heard. The computer company copied only the CAB files and the rest required to setup windows 98.
The manufucterer of the MP3 player has a Cd but that only contains their software to download and upload the MP3 files. No other stuff is on it.

You need the Win 98 driver files specific to the MP3 player. What is the make and model of the player ? www.driverguide.com may prove helpful
ADDONS folder on the Win 98 CD has a gazillion files in it...and nothing even vaguely resembled USB mass storage driver !

Only Win 98 needs drivers for most USB storage devices...ME/XP/2K has built in support.

Hi bsewell
The doc file is in Chinese ! Sorry mate, I speak 3 languages, but Chinese isn't one of them !
I downloaded and installed the driver on a Win98SE system, and it all went through okay. What file did you click on, to start the install ? After I clicked wewa.exe, the files were extracted to a folder called Wewa in My Documents. Then I clicked on the Welcome.exe file in that folder, and the install started up.
If you need some help, email me at krystyna157au@yahoo.com.au
